About GERTRUDE & MATTHEW FOUNDATION
This is a Christian based Foundation. We understand the roles an empowered woman can play in
our complex and challenging society today, and the impact that has on the family, and the roles
that would in the long run impact the overall society, hence the decision to launch “Gertrude & Matthew Foundation. This is a Foundation based on the mission that empowerment can bring about a social change.
MISSION & GOALS
Mission
We are on a mission to be a Non-Profit Organization available to rescue (Less privileged women with
low household income) Nigerian women economically, spiritually and mentally. We also support the
youth as they transition to full adulthood.
Goal
Delivering transformation among indigent Christian Nigerian women and being a support to our youth in any and every way we can.
Focus
There is need to identify idle and indigent women and youth who need help. Beneficiaries could be:

Less privileged women who are serious to make a change to their lives by supporting them in a new small-scale ventures or by adding a side business to their present occupation.

Women who need counseling through our workshops and prayer sessions.

Youth (especially from low-income households who are intelligent and eager to further their education and have gained admission higher education).
WHAT MAKES US DIFFERENT.
At Gertrude and Matthew Foundation, we as a Christian organization want to teach women how to fish not just to give them fish. Some other foundations may just give funds, but don't teach how to use the money efficiently but at Gertrude & Matthew Foundation we want to teach the women how to utilize the funds judiciously so as to be able to be financially stable afterwards. We do this by providing financial workshops, marketing workshops etc. with the aim of teaching our women to grow their small-scale businesses, which we have testimonials to this.
Furthermore, as a Christian organization we want to build their spiritual lives, this we do this by having monthly prayer meetings monthly fellowships where besides praying we also discuss on a wide range of topics - spirituality, marital life, children upbringing and varied topics that are beneficial to our women, we also share life experiences.
The aim is to build each other; we believe that the family is the bedrock of the society and if we can get it right at the family level this inadvertently impacts the larger society.
So, at Gertrude& Matthew Foundation we're not just providing finances to women but we also we are building women in every aspect of their lives which we believe is the total women empowerment.
